Clifford Leon Robertson, 73, of Sedalia, MO died Friday, July 25, 2003, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
He was born February 24, 1930, in Howard County, Missouri, son of Romie Clifford and Edris R. Chipley Robertson. On April 26, 1951, in Glasgow, Missouri, he married Gloria E. Wilkerson, who survives of the home.
Mr. Robertson was a member of Parkview Christian Church. He was a heavy equipment operator/superintendent for Howard Quarries, retiring in 1995. He loved working with the earth, his yard, flowers and trees. He and his wife had lived in Sedalia for 24 years, moving here from Marshall.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Robertson, of the home; a daughter, Jill King of Marshall; three grandchildren, Caine Langford, Robbie King and Chrissy King; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Messer of Glasgow; and two nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Robertson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, at Parkview Christian Church, with the Rev. Rodney Brown officiating.
Pallbearers will be Bob King, George King, Robbie King, Caine Langford, Jeff Wilkerson and Mark Wilkerson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Boggs, Melvin Boggs, Joe Cornett, Jim Harris, Olen Howard, Cliff Kast, Marvin Kreisel, Bernie Newton, John Purdy and Larry Quinley.
Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Monday, July 28, at the Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home, where friends may call after 8:30 a.m.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Parkview Christian Church or to the Show-Me Christian Youth Home.
