Searching for info on GGG Grandmother Marie Louise DUVAL married to Joseph BLAIS in 1855 in Mission Lochaber,Quebec(near Papineauville or Montebello). Joseph Blais was b.1830 to Hubert Blais (also known as Antoine Thibert) & Marie-Des-Neiges Pelletier,he died June 1893 in Angers,Quebec & was buried in L'Ange Gardien,PQ.Marie Louise(also known as Louise Duval) was b.1832,died Dec 7,1898 in Chelmsford,Ontario & is buried at St.Joseph's RC Cemetery in Chelmsford. It is believed that following the death of her husband Joseph Blais in Quebec in 1893 she relocated to the Chelmsford/Sudbury area with 1 or more of their children.I believe that this couple had 9 children,Joseph Blais b.1856 married Elmire Plouffe,Napoleon b.1870ish married Virginie Carriere,Hubert Michel b.Dec 1856 married Casilda Allaire,Anna b.Mar 1872 married Alfred Matte,Alphonsine b.Feb 1865 married Theodore Leblanc,Prudent b.Jan 1875 married Marie Louise Charron,Rose Delima unknown birthdate married Delphis Filion, and Octavia Julie b.April 1876 died in 1878. It is believed that the offspring of this couple are the ancestors of the majority of the Blais found in the Chelmsford/Sudbury areas. If you can help in any way with Marie Louise Duval's family, her parents & ancestors names are needed to complete research,it would be most helpful.I have compiled a large amount of info on the Blais line but have hit a brickwall with the Duval line.

Regards, Susan
