Still no idea on what became of Howard & Florence, but an obit for one of their children might give you a clue.

Ontario birth registrations and the 1911 Census of Winchester suggests that the seven Brown children were

Gertrude Hilda, born 1895, married Thomas Robertson in 1919 in Toronto, York, died September 5, 1936 in Brockville and was buried in Winchester

Charles Harry, born 1898, married Eula Genoe in 1926 in Carleton Place, Lanark. An on-line family tree reports that he died in 1935 in Carleton Place. If so, his death was not registered. It happens. You could read the 1935 Carleton Place Herald looking for news of his death/obit. It would take a couple of hours. You can consult the CP Herald at the National Library in Ottawa.

Queen Victoria, born 1900

Winnifred, born 1902, married Samuel Dunfield in 1922 in Toronto, York, but was living in CP in 1926. She died December 26, 1949 and is buried in Pinegrove Cemetery, Beckwith, Lanark. The CP newspaper does not exist for 1949, but maybe it was reported on in the Perth Courier, Smiths Falls Record News or the Ottawa Citizen.

Georgina born 1904 married Harry Alexander James in 1924 in Ottawa, Carleton. Harry died March 21, 1959 and is buried in Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa as is their infant daughter (1925). You could check Ottawa City Directories for Georgina, also at the National library in Ottawa.

Robert Dalton, born 1907

Thomas Arthur, born 1909

George Howard, born 1913

There are only seven children referred to in Mrs. Brown’s 1924 obit. Son George died October 12, 1918 of pneumonia. His death registration says he was buried in Pine Grove, but he is listed on his mother’s monument in Winchester/Chesterville.

suggests that Howard and his wife Annie M. Hitsman are buried in Maple Ridge Cemetery, Chesterville (Block C).
A photograph of their monument does not appear to be in the Eastern Ontario Gravemarker Gallery

but does appear on the Cornwall Roots site….

Unfortunately there is no date for Howard. Perhaps he is not buried here.

Annie’s parents Philip Hitsman and Louisa Baker are also buried in Maple Ridge. A photo of their monument and an obit for Philip (1938) are listed on the Find A Grave site…;
