By his 1st marriage: Richard PARKINSON, born 1807, and Elizabeth PEDDER, had seven children,
all born in England. About the 1855's +, these children began emigrating to Ontario, to Walpole Twsp.
in Haldimand County.

A daughter of Richard PARKINSON & Elizabeth PEDDER,
Mary PARKINSON, b. abt 1835, married John METCALFE in England. One son, born in England
was George METCALFE, born October 27th, 1859 in Whittington, England, who was married on
February 19th, 1883, to Rebecca PARKINSON, March 14th, 1858-January 16th, 1931, a daughter of Thomas PARKINSON & Elizabeth WRAY.

This Thomas was actually an uncle of Mary PARKINSON, and a brother of her father Richard.

Children of George METCALFE & Rebecca PARKINSON:
1. Cassandra METCALFE,1884, died as infant;
2. Elizabeth Olive METCALFE, August 3rd, 1887-March 24th, 1891;
3. Mary Alma [Minnie] METCALFE, August 8th, 1891-June 3rd, 1947;
**** need much data from here on!
**** Do not know whether Ross married & raised his family in Norfolk or Brant or Haldimand County????
4. Ross Parkinson METCALFE, born April 16th, 1893
married Agnes Shaw LAING

Children of Ross & Agnes:
a. Russell Laing METCALFE
married June 23rd, 1947, to Cynthia Ethel FRENCH
[Reginald Ross Laing M.; Ralph Parkinson M.; Michael Anthony M.; Jonathan M.]

b. Elizabeth Olive METCALFE
married November 14th, 1942, to Ralph DAVIES
[Sandra D.; Arlene Ann D.; Thomas D.; Donna D.]

I live in Walpole Township, Haldimand County, Ontario. My late mother was a PARKINSON, a
granddaughter of William PARKINSON, who was a brother of the MARY mentioned at the beginning
of this post..

Will gladly share data. Am researching 12 main lines of PARKINSONs.
