Alexander Grant appears to have stayed on the East half of Lot 26. He willed his property (instrument # 268 ... film 084022 pg 26)... to his lawful son, Alexander Grant.
His will indicates the following dispersals .. to eldest son, Angus Grant ... lot 8 conc 4 .. Indian Reservation .. called Nutfield and 5 shillings silver. to lawful son, John, south end Lot 24 Conc 1 .. River Raisin.
To wife Nancy Grant ... management of the land he lived on (presumably east half lot 26 C 4)... At the time of her death she could distribute personal items, bed, chest, wearing apparel. etc to her daughters and Alexander's wife.
to lawful son Alexander Jr. east half lot 26 c 4 ... to daughters Catherine, Christine, Hannah, and Sarah he had given all intended at time of their marriage .. sons Angus and John were to assist Alexander in looking after their mother, if necessary. He appoints son Angus Grant and Alexander Grant (brewer)as executers ...; will signed Charlottenburgh, South Branch ... 22 November 1846 ...
