Benjamin Boyer andAnn Boddy were my great grand parents. Their Daughter Elizabeth(Lizzie) was my grandmother, she was born on Manitoulin Islalnd. Ben and Ann had 10 children, We pick up the family on Manitoulin in the 1881 census inTehkummah, Algoma. At that time they had nine children. The youngest Phoebe was born in 1884 and Ann died in 1884. Picked up a news clipping fron the Mamitoulin Ex. about her being sick and then her death in Sault Saint Marie. We have reason to believe that she is buriled in the old Queen Street Cemetery. There is a listing there of a mothers deathe Dec. 14, 1884 (which is Ann deatth listed in our old family bible) and daughters death Marrch 11, 1895(which is Maude Boyer Abercrombie, daughter of Ann and Ben, also in the bible). Then we pick Benjamin up in Sault Ste. Marie in the 1901 census. Can't find him in 1891 anywhere or cna't find in1871. Don't know where he was born or Ann either. After Ann died all the children were farmed out to other people to bring up and Benjamin went Prospecting. He discovered the Helen Mine in Wawa and a few other ones also. We have some very old newspaper clippings about khim and his mines. Would like to find out Benjamin and Ann parents and do not know were to look, supposibly not on their death certificates. Maybe some marriage certificate, Benjamin was Baptist and Irish origin but born in Ontario in 1840. Benjamin died in Sault Ste, Marie in July 1908. Can any one be of any help. Donna
