Hi folks,

I am researching the McCann family of Hants County. The earliest McCann that I have found is John who is listed in the 1792 Hants Poll Tax as a Weaver in Newport. I have also found that he owned/sold a lot in Falmouth in 1816, but haven't yet found the record of his purchasing the lot.

I'm beginning to wonder whether he came with the McNutt crowd. Is there some kind of list or record that would provide me with more information about years of settlement and names of this group?
