Sarah was born in Minnesota in 1890. Her family moved to the Alberta/Montana area in 1905-1907ish to homestead.

John Wilson would have been born between 1870-1890 in either North Dakota or Oregon (there are discrepancies on the Census) and he is apparently Irish as this is what his children put on their census. He is said to have died of TB in Provo, Utah in 1912 or 1913.

It is not recorded as to when these two were married, or even where. According to family verification, they had met and were married in the states. Although he married Sarah Higdem, he was apparently absent from her life at times. He and Sarah would travel to Provo, Utah for TB treatments for him. She had two children by him: Gladys (1908) Andrew (1911). She is listed as living with her parents in the 1911 Canadian Census, with the first two children, and there is no mention of him; perhaps he was still in Utah. On Andrews marriage license, he lists himself as being born in Utah, so the family was there for some time.

After her husband passed away, Sarah remarried, in 1915, to a man by the name of John Rosenaw, Roseman, Rosenan, Rosenau or Roseneau. They lived in Coutts, Alberta. She had a child by this man within a year of their marriage.

Sarah died of pneumonia with the youngest baby, James or John Rosenau and is buried In Coutts, Alberta, with that child. It has been verified by Sarah's only living granddaughter -- Gladys' daughter -- and I have also confirmed this with sources there.

I know that John Rosenau went on t remarry a woman by the name of Emily Keisz and lived a long life in Washington.

The other two children that she and John Wilson had went to live with their mothers family (the Higdems') who had recently moved down Montana. The man that Sarah married apparently abandoned them.
