My great great grandmother, was Margaretha Weiss, Born in 1847 in Kathreinfeld, her father was Markus Weiss. She married Nickolaus Martin (1844-1917), they had eight children.
Emerick Martin, (1866-1957) Elizabeth Giezer
Eva Martin: (1867-1868)
Johann Martin: (1873-1874)
Nickolaus Martin: (1874-1952) Louisa Kurtz
Katherine Martin: (1876-1952) Mike Berko
Elizabeth Martin: (1886-1976) Louie Schacherer
Helen Martin: (1888-1965) Eugene Schacherer
Albert Martin: (1889-1981) Ruby Mitchell

Emerick and Nickolaus Jr. came to America in 1893, they settled near Richardton, North Dakota. They sent for the rest of the family, they came in 1903 to Ellis Island, then to Richardton. Katherine and Mike Berko came in 1911. Katherine, Elizabeth, Helen and Albert were all born in Pancsova, (Pancevo), the others were born in Kathreinfeld.
Helen Martin, (1888-1965), was my great grandmother, she married Eugene Schacherer, (1873-1915), their daughter Anna was my grandmother. Elizabeth was married to Louis Schacherer, brother of Eugene, they were from Alsace, France. The Martins were also French, but moved to Yugoslavia at the time of the French Revolution.
Nickolaus Martin died in 1917 in Richardton, North Dakota,
Margaretha died in Lefor, Stark County, ND, in 1920.
I would like to learn more on the Weiss family, we could be related, I only have Margaretha's father's name, I haven't found out about her mother. The Martin-Weiss family attended St. George's Parish in Kathreinfeld.
