Well... since you gave no clue as to your GFs given name, etc.. It is a bit difficult to give exact info.... However the KENJALO (kanyahlo) surname found at Ellis Island are coming mostly from an area south of Bihac, Bosnia (Yugoslavia did not exist until 1929!) around the area of Hrgar and Racic... also over the border near Doljni Lapac, Croatia.... some are declaring their race as Servian some as Croatian.
In noticed that in one of you other posts you mentioned Stoja and Guy (should be Gajo) there is an a ship manifest for her and 15 year old Milka dated 1924 destination Red Lodge, MT. The manifest indicates that Stoja applied for US Citizenship 1935 and Milka 1936 Next of kin is listed as Simo (=Simon) KENJALO at Bihac, Ratic (I believe this is Racic) This may indicate that her parents were deceased. Stoja's birthplace is listed as Mebljini... however seeing how they came via a French Port, Cherbourg I question the spellings... ah those French had a way with Croatian names! (Stoja and Milka declared Croatian as their Race) I have found numerous small and not so small errors by the interpretors at French Ports of Departure (yes the ship manifests were filled out at the POD and NOT at Ellis Is) Anyway what the French saw as Mebljini may well be Medudrazje close to Bihac and Racic.
In re to the Dan George you mentioned in your other posts... apparently he does not appear on the online Burial Index for Montana, Carbon County.... also Mountain View Cemetery is also known as Bostic Cemetery.http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/mt/carbon/http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/mt/mtfiles.htm
