I am researching the Coultas name. I do not know the Greek spelling. I feel it is Greek for several reasons. First a cousin was approached at Univ of California, Berkeley to join the "Greek Society" (not a sorority). Another cousin was doing reseach and felt the name went back to Greece. I have traced it through parish records back to Pickering, Yourshire, England around 1662. There is poetry that references Robbert Coultas published around the 12th century. Family fokelore says the family was involved when the English stopped in Crete on the way to the Crusades. England governed Crete for several hundred years around this time. The Coultas family came back to Yorkshire with the king. It is a very strange request. I can't trace back by civil records, but thought if the name exists in Crete DNA might be a way to jump the time gap.
