I'm seeking information about my great-grandparents, who were from Ciechanowiec or environs. Great-grandmother's name has been spelled Masza, Misha, and Minnie. She came to the US on the ship New (Nieuw) Amsterdam in 1922 with 3 of her children: triplets Philip (also spelled Feivel and Fajvel), Benjamin (Berl or Berel), and Louis (Leiba or Leibl). I imagine other spellings exist. Masza had 3 daughters who preceded her to the US. Their American names were Jenny, Minnie, and Sarah.
We'd like information about Masza's husband, my great-grandfather, who died in Poland and never came to the U.S. We believe his name was Morris Herman (Moshe Chayim), that he was very tall, and that he was a rabbi. We'd like confirmation on his name, plus dates and locations of his birth, marriage, and death.
We'd like to know more about Masza: her maiden name, plus dates and locations of her birth, marriage, and death.
Any "landsmen" know? Thanks!
