Frank Toepfer & Wenzel Toepfer are both found among the notices and clippings indexed in "Milwaukee's German Newspapers; an index of death notices and related items" (1844-1950).
These include adverts posted by a Wenzel to notify the community that he's traveling back to Europe and that Frank is in charge of the shop for the duration. There was also a Wenzel Jr.
There are over 125 Toepfer and Töpfer entries in the current index. Wenzel and his wife Maria both had obituaries as well as death notices. The surnames Benes Straka Maertz März Märtz are also found in the current data file.
Many Bohemian immigrants and other Central and Eastern European immigrants (both Christian and Jewish) used the local German newspapers and are featured in these papers.
