My grandmother Emilie Beckmann was born Sept. 15, 1856 and she was vaccinated for smallpox on Sept. 3, 1858 in Potnitz? Were the children usually vaccinated where they were born? Also, it this is the case, the little town of Potnitz is just a stone throw from Dessau. Would that be where the parish would be or could it be somewhere else? Emilie was the daughter of Leopold Beckmann and Emilie gnb. Braesicke. Any help there?
