Thank you so very much, Bob. In the same document, it says "bisher vermisst," which I believe means "previously missing." So, "he had been captured and imprisoned" which accounts for his "previously missing" status? And would there be records in finding out where he'd been imprisoned, or of his release?

Also, after his date of birth states a location -- Seidel?
Could this be his place of birth?
