My father was in this camp after he was in a German hospital. I believe from what I have found out, was, he had been transferred to Stalag Luft I. The story he told me matches what I have found online regarding the history of that camp. If you look further in this thread to message posted by norwoodcj on 29 Apr 2012 9:39PM. They stated that time in the camps can be traced via the Red Cross and gives the particulars. The German Red Cross use to follow up on how the prisoners were treated.

I do have the picture of my father as a P.O.W. taken by the Germans and it is posted in my tree under my father's information. The tree is Schendel Tree 12.17.00-1. Perhaps your grandfather and my father knew each other (outside chance). My father was based in England and flew in an A-20 as Bombardier. What role did your grandfather have in the war?
