Well, I definitely read Häcker too based upon comparing the the word Hütte in the previous entry.

According to Krünitz Oeconomische Encyclopädie:
Hacker , (der) oder Häcker, derjenige, welcher hackt, aus dem Hacken seine vornehmste Beschäftigung macht. Siehe Fleischhacker, Holzhacker. In Franken werden die Winzer Häcker genannt, weil das Hacken in den Weinbergen eine ihrer vornehmsten Beschäftigungen ist.

The following website provides a short history of Conow (where Mr. Burmeister was living) indicating the presence of a glass factory:

It looks like the jobs in Conow during this time centered around the glass factory there and the article notes the inordinate amount of wood needed to fuel the fires to work the glass. Thus, my guess is that "angehender Häcker" would likely be an apprentice wood chopper who supplied the glass factory with the large amount of wood they needed.
