Info on Franciska Meidl. She is the daughter of Blasius Meidl. Franciska was born in Whitelaw in 1882. My GGrandfather was Joseph Meitl. The Meitl's (incorrect spelling) of Kansas came from Joseph. The Wisconsin Meidl's came from the Blasius Meidl kids. Joseph (I think) came with bro. Blasius,wife and daughter from Austria/Bohemia about 1868. Blasius stayed in Manitowac Co. area. Joseph's first appearance was in Hanover KS, where he married Eve Lunkenheimer. Their witnesses were Joseph Zipperer and Marg.Seidl. Zipperers and Seidls are also married to Blasius's kids. What a tangled mess. I think Joseph Meitl, Joe Zipperer & Marg. Seidl came from Manitowac Co. together. Perhaps they came to the U.S. together. It would be nice to know. Hope this helps.
