Surnames: Lindner, Zobel, Fengler
Johann Gottfried Lindner and wife Johanne Elisabeth (nee Zobel) emigrated to Australia with several children on the ship Wappaus which departed Hamburg in 1849. A son, also called Johann Gottfried Lindner remained in Germany to marry Johanne Dorothea Fengler and they then emigrated to Australia on the brig "Susanne" in 1864. These Lindners originated from Gohlsdorf (now Golicin in Poland) near Haynau and Leignitz (now Legnica in Poland)in Silesia near the south west border of what is now Poland. After World War 2 it is understood all Germanics were driven from this region and many may have settled across the border in areas such as Dresden. I would appreciate information on any Lindners back in Europe who may be related.
