Was your Mrs. E. B. Menzel aka Anna Pazdernick? And did she arrive as Pazdernick or Menzel? There's a rare mention in the early local German papers for an Anna Pazdernick (the only entry for that surname) found in "Milwaukee's German Newspapers; an index of death notices and related items" (1844-1950). However, there are also possible matches for people like an Anna Menzel that died in Milwaukee in 1914. There are over 100 Menzel / Mentzel / Mensel entries or references in the current index.
