Zlatica is correct; if the bride and/or groom were married near where they were baptized, in the later records especially the priest would note marriage and death. When a person came to the US, they needed a birth certificate to prove age or citizenship, and the baptismal certificate of course acted as that. The certificate they carried was NOT the one issued when they were born, but when they came to the rectory to request a birth certificate. I have not seen any notations like this on my ancestors' certificates, but have seen plenty in the originals, so it makes sense that somewhere a priest would put any of that data on a certificate being issued for immigration.

In my case, there's one with a notation that the certificate was issued for Amerika but oddly enough, that child was already deceased.
