Your GOLUB family is not related to the original poster's, and the family of Margareta Golub was/is ethnic Serbian and of Eastern Orthodox faith. Vital records you need to look for are records of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

I suggests that you contact the ITS tracking service to obtain from them information on all family members that were imprisoned during the WWII or spent time in a DP camp after the war - to establish the place of origin of the family. The inquiry is free but it takes time to receive reply:

Corresponding archive in Serbia that has records of POW and victims of nazi persecution from all territories of former Yugoslavia is Arhiv Jugoslavije in Belgrade. They can do a research on your behalf for a fee:

From the official census of WWII victims I see records for a young child of father MILOVAN GOLUB listed, whose place of origin is in Bosnia, and there are matching records in that census where a GOLUB child is listed as well as the mother and both were killed by the ustashas along with other women and children during the massacre in the village and transport to Jasenovac death camp, in circumstances that according to the eyewitness accounts are corresponding to what you are describing.

But, these records from this official census I can only match to your information based on knowing the exact place of origin of your Golub family and confirming it.

On how to research your ancestors you can read here:
