Miguel Vega, 82, machine operator
Vega was a machine operator at the Mount Airy Lumber Co. in New Providence for 28 years, retiring in 1979. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Lancaster.
Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Salvador and Atilana Rodriguez Vega. He was married to Norberta Anaya for four years on Nov. 21. He was also the husband of Ruperta Santiago Vega, who died in March 1984.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Jose Santiago, husband of Alejandrina Mendez Pou of Ponce, and Felix, husband of Arleta Vega of Quarryville; four daughters, Carmen, wife of Vincente Nieves of Lancaster, Rose T., wife of John G. Groff of New Providence, Ramonita, wife of Saul Saez of Lancaster, and Irma, wife of Isidro Morales of New Providence; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
