Dave, For you information Red Bird SMITH was born 1751. He married Rhoda Sizemore b. 1784, d/0 George All Sizemoreb. 1752. As Indians of that time they took their wife's surname. Thus Chief Red Bird SIZEMORE. The Smith came from his previous wife Elizabeth Smith b. 1755. Red Bird's official birth name was Aaron Brock from the Tewrsalgi Tribe near Yahoo Falls Creek, Kentucky. There is Red Bird River in KY., named after him and a Historical Marker nearby. While living w/ Rhoda they had 2 sons: Russell & John.
Chief Red Biord was killed by furtraders/trappers who stole his furs and killed him and his Indian friend "Old Willie" and then threw their bodies in the Red Bird River. John Gilbert and some others found their bodies & buried them by the river.

The Winnie Sizem ore you spoke of was a e/o George Golden Hawk. George All and Aggie Shepherd-Cornett were Gollden Hawk's parents. Geoirge All's father was Edward Ned Sizemore & wife Elizabeth Rachel Jackson. William M. Begley b. 1771 in Hampshire Co., Va. died July 1852, Cutshin, Knox Co., Ky. and is buried in Begley Cem., Dry Hill, Leslie Co., Ky. (now north Sizemore Cemetery).
