I am no expert but would recommend two books to you.
The first is probably the most definitive texts on the Kennedys in that part of the world;
The Irish Kennedys by Brian Patrick Kennedy 2nd edition- ISBN 0-9585388-3-2 and available directly from the author at PO Box 255, Helensvale, Australia,4212

Brian is currently writing two more books which he hopes to publish soon One about the lineage of Presidential Kennedys and one about about the Kennedys who took to the hills around Templederry and Dolla and started farming the high country.His research is very thorough.

The second book is currently out of print.
"From Bun Ciamalta to New South Wales" by R Kennedy 1999
Monsignor Roger or Rody Kennedy a priest who served in Australia came from the same area as my ancestors and in fact one of them lived in his family home for a time.
His book is based on some resaerch and personal recollections of the people who lived in the valley. He includes a list of children who attended Toor School along with a collection of names of people from various townlands who married in the district. It was in this book that he mentions the will of Hugh Kennedy of Glencroe and draws a conclusion that this Hugh was an uncle or the father of Long Andrew Kennedy of Knocknamoheragh/Toorataggart. Long Andrew's descendants farmed townlands including Bun Ciamalta (Keeper), Killeen,Ganavane (Garravane),and possibly BleanBeg as well as the mentioned above.
