Hi Michael,

Michael, had 2 sisters, Maureen and Coleen McDermott born 1834 and 1840 respectivly, both sadly died in 1845 potatoe famine. There is a mass grave around 3 miles outside of Rosscommon in Ireland, which states the names of their siblings who also died. Following a trip to Ireland in 2010 I discovered michael left for England (Glossop) with his Wife Anna McDermott Re:Sheen (as she was known locally).
I have not been able to trace Michaels parents as records are not available.

Of course the family tree doesnt end there, there is a William and Evelyn McDermott of Glossop (circa 1948 - 1960) who had 4 children. the eldest child is alive and well and a Grandmother in her own right.
