I was able to find the baptismal record of my immigrant great-great-great grandfather William Creary (born in 1797) who emigrated from Ireland to Saint John, NB, Canada in 1819.
Through Canadian records and the baptismal certificate, I discovered he was from Ballinakil.
I am planning a trip to Ireland in April, and wondered if anyone had any information on who I should speak with regarding finding any additional information (Catholic parish records), gravestones, etc.
I realize that this is a long shot - as it was so long ago and I'm not sure there are any Creary's still left in Ballinakill.
If anyone can help me out at all, or direct me to someone to speak with - I would greatly appreciate the advice!
Thanks in advance!
