Michael,
The following is the only BYRNE memorial in The Rower graveyard:-
"In memory of MICHAEL BYRNE of kiltown, who died from the effect of a bomb explosion on 10th December, 1921 aged 20 years. And his mother MARY BYRNE, died 26th December, 1949 aged 95 years. Erected by his comrades C.Coy. 5th Battallion, Kilkenny Brigade I.R.A."

A Mary O'Neill, alias Byrne, who died 6th May, 1836, aged 55 years, is commemorated on a stone erected by her son, Michael O'Neill of Coolhill in her memory and that of his father, Daniel O'Neill, who died 12th August, 1819.

A ROSE BOLGER, alias BYRNE, who departed 16th April, 1833 aged 62 years is commemorated on a memorial erected by Edmond Bolger of Coolback. Also commemorated is his father, PATRICK BOLGER who departed 6th June, 1834, aged 74 years and other members of the Bolger family.

The late Tom Lyng, teacher and local historian, once remarked to me that "there are more Lyngs in The Rower than all of China". There are twenty graves in which Lyngs are commemorated. Perhaps you could refine my search by indicating which branch is of interest to you. Alternatively you might provide me with your address and I will mail you a photo-copy of the relevant records.

Regards

Michael
