There are White's in the Clare telephone book, some in Lisdoonvarna and of course there are over 200 Byrne's in Co. Clare, I didn't go through those.

Lisdoonvarna is a townland in the Parish of Kilmoon, and the Poor Law Union of Ballyvaghan (within 12 miles) in the Barony
of Burren. Burren is an area for tourism now. I also remember that Lisdoonvarna is where the Matchmaker Festival takes place. There is a movie about that. It is a stunning beautiful part of Ireland.

Griffith Valuation of Clare took place in 1855. At that time there were no Byrnes (40) or White (80) or Scales (24) in either Parish Kilmoon or Lisdoonvarna.
There may have been a name change to the parish or an amalgamation with another parish and it might be known as something else.Today it is known as Lisdoonvarna & Kilshanny Parish. (on facebook)

It is noted on the Lisdoonvarna parish records are on microfilm at the National Library in Dublin.
birth 1843-1876, marriages 1860-1880, NLI2440.

The LDS have copied from the National Library so you should be able to find these on their website
use the main page to search for civil births after 1864.
If you want to find the old record scroll down the main page to UK/Ireland, click and scroll down to Ireland.

If the couple were born in the 1840's they likely married
in the early 60's so perhaps some their children will be in the civil registration records - see above.

John Scales born 30 Sept 1867 #282 Roadford, Clare
Fa: William Scales Mo: Bridget White LDS Film #101158

James Scales born 17 March 1870 #306 Roadford, Clare
same parents #101209

George Scales born 23 Oct 1872 Roadford, Clare
same parents #255864

(This CD no longer available has 1864-1875 only)

Anne Byrnes born 2 Dec 1868 #282 Roadford Clare
Michael Byrne Mo: Susan White

This is the only Byrne married to a White, they must of had their children elsewhere. I did try ALL Ireland for the couple but 0 records. Its possible they just fell through the cracks! The LDS information was transcribed by LDS students from the records at the National Library and there are errors, but 8 children?
