highly unlikely that either set of parents would be shown on marriages this early

I would think, due to age shown, that Thomas (14 above) is not a child of Ann's as she would have been very young so perhaps a brother or maybe a son of Johns by a previous marriage?? (relationships not shown in the 1841 census)

My searching index for passenger lists dont start till 1865... however, thro experience, I have found (this early) that oftentimes just the surname is used (outward bound) (as that country could'nt care less (even now) who is going) however, when entering a country more info is normally required so, I would suggest incoming rather than outgoing
