I have seen the passenger list for the Bark "Harvest" dated 16 September 1854. It says Rebecca Garner and four of her children were "lost overboard" due to a storm and a large wave that hit the ship. An article in the New York times on 16 September 1854 said: "When the Harvest left Liverpool she had 23 passengers on board, 13 of whom were swept from the deck by a single wave." There were actually 27 passengers on the list. Martha Garner (age 20) married Beny Talboy and lived Huntington, Fairfield Co., Connecticut at the time of the 1860 census. Martha's brother Sholon Garner (age 18) was living with them. Martha Garner was the grandmother of Loma Isabelle Dillon who married Herbert W. Armstrong. They named their son Garner Ted.
