Classification: Query
Surnames: Quantrell, Quantrill, Claxton, Clarkson
The passenger list was impossible for me to read, but I found the entire family in the index (the indexer saw the name as Claxon, Harriet as Hannah and Levinia/Louisa as Lewis; indexing so nearly correct is a miracle when one looks at the handwritten list!) and all Quantrell (US spelling) children can be followed except Sarah. In the passenger list they all use the Claxton name of their stepfather William Claxton; Harriet (Buckle) [widow of William Quantrill] Claxton had ten children:
Maria m. William Bone
Mary Ann, m. Almanza Bestor, John Bearby, Nelson Rathbun
William m. Esther Landers, Mary Searles
Elizabeth m. Ezra Robinson
Emeline m. Edward Marshall
Charles m. Mary Gore
Sarah
Benjamin m. Delia Johnson, Elizabeth ?, Mary ?, Alveretta Cherry
Sarah
Levinia (Louisa in US) m, James S. Norton
Rebecca; blind, never married

The Claxton name became Clarkson in the US. William Claxton, second husband of Harriet (Buckle) Quantrell had a stepson
William Self who used the Clarkson name in the US.

William also had
Mary Ann Claxton
George Claxton

These 15 people:
Harriet and William
Harriet's 10 Quantrill children
William's 2 Claxton children and 1 stepson W. Self
all came to America on the Ship Richmond, landing in New
York on 21 June 1831.
