At the beginning of the year I located a record of a James Ferdinand Kirche married in the 1820s in Marylebone London and the witnesses included a Frances Adam Kirche. James was an interpreter and also married in Paris but she vanished.
I saved that record to my shoebox to check out later and it has vanished. It isn’t in my shoebox and it isn’t anywhere on ancestry search anymore. It literally has vanished.
I can’t remember his spouse’s name only his and the witness but this is weird because no matter what I try searching- including wild variants of his name- it just doesn’t turn up.
Even something as wild as Jas Curch doesn’t turn it up.
It was a James Ferdinand Kirche married in Marylebone and the witness was a Frances Adam Kirche his sibling.
James also witnessed Francis marriage to Mary in late January 1830 and that record is already on my tree.
When James returned to England in the late 1820s he seems to have lived at the house in Great Woodstock Street where his parents Adam Kirche and Angelica Hans died in 1813 and 1825 respectively.
If there’s a will by Adam anywhere that might mention the spouse and help us locate the actual marriage.
