Hi Sue

Edith Emily Rickner born 1899 in Mottingham (mottingham is between Lewisham and Bromley) was the daughter of George Rickner and Elizabeth Maud Watson. Edith married Lionel Redvers Potter in 1923. As far as I know they had no children.

Children of Robert T and Harriet are: William John 10 Sep 1909, Florence Ella 30 Mar 1911, Charles John 1913, William Robert Trusler 1915-1916, Lillian R 1918, Henry 1919. They were all born in Plumstead, which is in Woolwich district. I maybe missing some children.

Roberts wife Harriet has the maiden name Dolby the same as his mother. I would be interested to know if they are related. Maybe he married a 2nd cousin or something. Harriet was born in 1885 and her father was William Dolby.

The only Harriet I could find on the census was in 1891 living at 136 High Street, Eltham. Which is a few doors up from Eli Rickners residence at 5 Pound Place. They are both on the same census sheet.

Though the head of that household is Anne, who is a widow. The marriage for Harriet and Robert, the father for Harriet is down as William, but it does not say deceased next to his name.

I will get her birth cert next I think to clear that up. I don't have a subscription so I cannot search further on ancestry.

Regards, Terry
