I am researching the family of Euclid and Priscilla Woodward, who have a son, Ebeneezer, baptized in Aldford, Cheshire, England in 1774. FamilySearch includes information about this baptism, but also has a reference to a baptism of what appears to be this same Ebenezer at St. Chad, Romily, Cheshire. As a resident of the USA I still struggle with understanding England's geography and wondered about the two baptism records. When I followed up on Google Maps I could see that the two towns aren't too far apart, but are definitely not part of the same clerical district. Is there anyone who might be able to suggest why there are the two records from two different areas?
Thank you, in advance, for your comments.
