I posted the following 6 months ago elsewhere, but I think I was too specific in board location, as it had no replies, hints, suggestions. Would appreciate any thoughts or news. Thanks.

I am researching Alfred CLARK, my G G Uncle, who was born in or around Fulbourn, Cambs UK 1836 and died at Impington Cambs in 1920.

I would really like to find some family history of his descendants, in the hope that they may be able to shed light on my G GF Richard CLARKE (with the E), Alfred's brother, b. c1831. Both Alfred and Richard were born to Eliza CLARKE, who was apparently unmarried 1831-1836 (although she later married a James HART at Fulbourn in 1839).

I have found Alfred's baptism record but not Richard's. I don't even know if they had the same father. Although the boys lived with James Hart and their mother, unlike the subsequent younger siblings born after the marriage of Eliza and James, Richard and Alfred maintained their Clark(e) name.

Alfred Clark (he didn't use the E) married Ellen MORLEY d.o. Richard Morley of Little Abington (one of 11 children). Alfred and Ellen had two children, Eliza and David. Both parents, Alfred and Ellen died 1920.

Eliza d.o. Alfred married Edward MANSFIELD in 1887 and they had 4 children, Edward, Percy, Lily and Marjorie. The last I know of Eliza is that in 1920, still at Church St in Chesterton, she reported the death of Alfred.

David s.o. Alfred married Eliza SCARR 1883 and they had at least one child Gertrude (1884). The last I know of David, he was at Cherry Hinton in 1901.

I seem to have reached road blocks after 1901 (and 1920 death), and I'm hoping someone may have some information on Alfred, Eliza and David, and their descendants. Perhaps they have found details of Alfred's father, or of my G GF Richard Clarke's birth/baptism, and fathers name. I can certainly offer quite a lot of information to them on Richard from 1850 until his death in Australia in 1912.

Thanks for reading. I hope something turns up !
