HAMILTON TOWNSHIP -- Iwan Kwasow, 89, died Saturday at the Hamilton Continuing Care Center, Mercerville.
Born in Podivote, Russia, Mr. Kwasow came to the U.S. in 1961 and was a Trenton and Robbinsville resident since them. He retired in 1976 after several years employed at the former Circle F Industries of Trenton.
Mr. Kwasow loved to read and greatly enjoyed home gardening especially growing his tomatoes.
He was the husband of the late Pelageja Lazarov Kwasow and is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Anna and Walter Bronik of Palmyra, PA, Tatiana Smirniw of Hamilton Township, Katherine and Alex Shemarovsky of Hamilton Township, and Maria and James Pitra of Holland, PA; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several other family members living in Russia.
The Funeral will be held 9 a.m. Tuesday from the Winowicz Funeral Home, Adeline and Beatty streets. Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Vladimir's Orthodox Catholic Church with Fr. Martin Kraus, pastor, and Fr. Paul Shafran, pastor emeritus officiating.
Burial will be in St. Vladimir's Cemetery, Hamilton Township.
Calling hours will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Panachida services at 7 p.m.
