Hi Jeanette, and thank you!

James Kendrick was married 2-16-1887, in the M. E. Church, in Charles City, Floyd co. I have noticed an Albert Kendrick, in St Charles township in the 1870 census. I cannot find ANYWHERE-- James Kendrick in an Iowa census. I wonder if the Albert Kendrick is his uncle?? I wonder if he lived with Albert. Any way of finding that?
Amanda SHannon- his bride, lived in Chickasaw co, I thot. Her father was William Shannon and Cordelia (Delia) Bohn-Shannon. I think Amanda was the last to leave the nest, and after she married, William and Cordelia moved to Thornton. Where is Thornton, ??? cannot find it on the map. Later, they moved on to Ethan ,South Dakota.
Any little thing you find is truly appreciated. My dad's 77th birthday is coming up, and I would dearly love to find new info on his heritage. We are having a small reunion of the Kendricks , and would love to know more about them. James Kendrick was raised by friends or relatives, loving his parents on the great lakes when an infant. His parents were said to have been born in Pa. James claimed to have been born in CAnada, and claimed to be of "German" decent.
Any and ALL leads are appreciated GREATLY!!

I see also, that Hannah SHannon was buried in a tiny grave in the southeast corner of Riverton township.
