Mrs. Cora Alice Jones of Frame Nursing Home, at 807 Findley avenue (Zanesville, Ohio) died at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, (March 14) following a long illness.
She was born January 27, 1881 in Noble County, Ohio, a daughter of Nelson and Mary Ann Warner Thompson. She had lived in Carlisle until the early 1920's when she moved to Zanesville, Ohio.
Her first husband, Alex Mantel died in 1919.
She later married Lawrence Jones that died in 1956.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs.Harry (Beulah) Roberts of White Cottage, Ohio and a step-son, Carl Jones of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and a step-grand-daughter. A daughter, Mrs. Grace Brown is deceased.
Friends may call at Brubach Funeral Home at Summerfield, Ohio today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Michaels Catholic church at Carlisle with Father Wargo officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
