I am researching all descendants of Clement ALDRIDGE or ARLEDGE of Worstead, Norfolk, England and Northumberland County, VA. The first Clement (c. 1601-c. 1668) m. Susan BOSWELL; sons Clement, Jr. (1636-1699), George (1639-1677) and William (and perhaps others) are known to have lived in Northumberland County at one time. George moved to Talbot Co, MD, and many of his descendants became ELDRIDGES. Clement, Jr. and wife Elizabeth TILL/TILLES were parents of Elizabeth, Jane (m. Henry HARDING), Clement (m. Elizabeth BEAN), Alice Grace, Winifred, William (m. Alice/Elyse FALLIN and then Sarah ALIRE?), Isaac and John (he may have been the John Aldridge who married Dorothy Smith; still uncertain.
William ALDRIDGE/ARLEDGE (1678-1724) had sons John (c. 1706-c. 1765, SC; may have married Elizabeth THOMAS, dau. of Richard THOMAS), Clement (c. 1708-c. 1790, NC), William (c. 1704-1784, Camden Dist, SC) and Isaac (1721-1790, Fairfield Co, SC), and daughters Jane and Sarah.

If you have any connections to any of these families, please contact me. More information on my Arledge Family History Web page at http://www.geocities.com/~wilson_pam/am/
