Speed of data entry on foreign-language projects may greatly be improved by setting up an alternate keyboard that supports the language.
I recommend the Programmers keyboards as they are basically standard QWERTY keyboards with the special characters entered by use of the RIGHT-ALT+Letter combinations. Layouts are available for many languages.
To get the capital letters, simply press shift, and the appropriate AltGr combination
