Choose the "Inhabitant List" form type when the image contains names to be keyed.

Surname

Key the surname as seen on the record using the drop-down menu provided to assist you. The surname will appear in the "Name" column.

Key all titles, such as "Jr" or "III," following the surname as seen on the record.

Key any titles before the given name, such as "Dr," "Rev," "Mr" or "Mrs," as seen on the record using the grop-down menu provided to assist you.

Key the first name or initial and any middle names as seen on the record using the drop-down menu provided to assist you. The given name will appear in the "Vorname" column.

Birth Day

Key the birth day from the birth date. The birth date will be in the "Geboren" column and is in day-month-year format.

Birth Month

Key the birth month from the birth date. The birth date will be in the "Geboren" column and is in day-month-year format. Months in German:1 - I - Januar2 - II - Februar3 - III - März4 - IV - April5 - V - Mai6 - VI - Juni7 - VII - Juli8 - VIII - August9 - IX - September10 - X - Oktober11 - XI - November12 - XII - Dezember

Birth Year

Key the birth year in the birth date. The birth date will be in the "Geboren" column and is in day-month-year format.

Religion

Key the religion as seen on the record.  If ditto marks appear, key the religion from the previous record. The religion will appear in the "Rel" column and will typically be "mos."

Ethnicity

Key the ethnicity as seen on the record. If ditto marks appear, key the ethnicity from the previous record. The ethnicity will appear in the "Volkszugeh" column and will typically be "Jude."

Previous Address

Key the previous address as seen on the record. The previous address will appear in the "frühere Adresse" column.

Key the new address as seen on the record. The new address will appear in the "neue Adresse" column.

Surname

The Surname is the last name of the primary person to whom the record applies. Key the Surname using the dictionary provided for assistance. If the surname does not appear in the dictionary then key the surname as seen.

Suffix

Key all titles, such as "Jr" or "III", following the surname of the primary person to whom the record applies using a dictionary if provided for assistance. If a suffix does not appear in a dictionary then key the suffix as seen.

Prefix

Key any titles before the Given name, such as "Dr", "Rev", "Mr" or "Mrs", using a dictionary if provided for assistance. If a prefix does not appear in a dictionary then key the prefix as seen. On birth and death records "stillborn", "child", "unknown", or "not stated" may appear. Key these as prefixes. If "child of Peter Pan" appears, key the complete phrase into the prefix field unless there is a father name field. If there is a father field, key "child of" as a prefix then key the father name as Peter Pan.
