Wetzel is a county in West Virginia. It was formed in 1846 from Tyler. Wetzel began keeping birth records in 1854, marriage records in 1845 (index), and death records in 1854. It began keeping land records in 1846, probate records in 1847, and court records in 1846. For more information, contact the county at P.O. Box 156, New Martinsville 26155-0149.
