My name is David Finster. I am a retired United Church of Christ (Congregational) minister. I am a VietNam veteran, a Life Member of VietNam Veterans of America and Disabled American Veterans. I am also a member of the International Conference of War Veteran Ministers. I have been doing family history research since I was in high school, and started actually writing down the stuf my Great-grandparents told me. That was in 1964. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley (1969), a Master of Arts in Anthropology from Washington State University (1973), and a Master of Divinity from the Pacific School of Religion(1981). All this education does not necessarily make me a better Family Historian, but it has given me a healthy respect for documentation and source referencing. If you catch me being sloppy, please point it out, so I can correct the problem!.
My Ancestry.com family tree is David_Finster found at http://community.ancestry.com/profile.aspx?mba=00f7aea7-0002-0000-0000-000000000000 There is now an Ancestry wiki "Finster" page at http://www.ancestry.com/wiki/index.php?title=Finster, waiting to be "mercilessly edited".
Some of my family lines can be traced way back...and some have very deep mysteries at their "dead ends". Happy Hunting to all Family History addicts!
