Union is a county or district in South Carolina. It was formed in 1800 from the following county/ies or district/s: Union County in Pinckney District. It has functioned since 1785 (in Ninety-Six District). Union began keeping birth records in 1915, marriage records in 1911, and death records in 1915. It began keeping land records in 1778, probate records in 1777, and court records in 1785. For more information, contact the county at P.O. Box 703, Union 29379-0000.
