Q: What if all information is the same except race? (One line says "C" and the next line says "W" or is blank, but name, age, date of death and city are the same?)

A: Since we are not keying the race, I would only key this once. --Wiedwoman 13:35, 19 April 2012 (UTC)

Q:Follow up, and what if next line has a middle initial and all else is the same?

A: This one you would key, since one field is different. --Wiedwoman 13:35, 19 April 2012 (UTC)

Thanks. Two last (I hope) questions. So using your reasoning above, if everything else is the same, but one line has a city and the next one does not, you key both lines. And finally, do you treat "Wayne Twp" like "Wayne County" and just leave it blank?

A: From instructions: If a name appears multiple times on a page and all the information except book and page number are the same, only key that individual once. Since the city is different, you would key twice. --Wiedwoman 13:53, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
A: Wayne township should be keyed as Wayne. It's only the county that we are not keying. --Wiedwoman 13:53, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
