To clarify - the instructions for surname say that "Roz = maiden name (key this in either the surname or alias surname field)". I have taken this to mean that if the married surname is also shown, married surname is keyed in the surname field and maiden name in the alias surname field, but if only the maiden name is shown, it is to be keyed in the surname field.  So if the name is shown as Marta roz. Picková, Picková would be keyed in the surname field. --[[User:Katerimmer|Katerimmer]] 08:44, 8 May 2013 (UTC)

Common Keying Errors Found by Reviewers

I know it's kinda late in the game for common errors. But here are some.

  • Key all diacriticals.
  • Months: The directions ask for months to be in Czech, not English, they also ask for the correct grammatical form. (see the keying help for details)
  • Surnames: use the alias surname field for maiden names. A name in the form Marta Hráská, roz. Picková will put Picková, in the alias surname field. the abbreviation roz. (translation: nee) will not be keyed at all.
  • Names: unfortunately the directions are only asking you to extract the name (and associated information) of the primary person from documents in paragraph form. Someone is going through a lot of trouble extracting relatives. That unfortunately must be deleted in arbitration.

A note: now that I've hit the A-review sets, the stats show errors by category. Most of the time the "other" is turning out to be the month format. Read that instruction carefully. --Paulmd199 05:38, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

Also the instructions for month name are to key it in the language of the document, not always in Czech. --Katerimmer 08:44, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
