Q: Quick question about this new database. I'm keying in the names and have come across one with 2 aliases. Each keyed record includes a field for one alias per prisoner. Would I repeat all the prisoner information on a second line so I can enter the second alias? Thanks in advance for any help.
A: I would key only the first alias you come to and ignore any others since there is only one field for aliases. This is the usual case in other projects as well. (No second line)
Will do. Thanks!
Q: With regard to Place of Residence, some records have the state listed above the city and some have the city listed above or to the left of the state. For all of these, I've been keying them as "city, state". Is this correct? Or should I key the first group as "state, city"?
