Transcriptions of death records found in other districts

Q: What if I find a marriage record?

A: Categorize these as "cover page, section header, etc". Per Anna Fechter, AWAP. --Paulmd199 20:21, 19 March 2012 (UTC)

I am currently keying an image set in which there are two death records that have been transcribed from other death records registered in different communities.

So each has an entry in the Villanterio record for a specific record date, but then goes on to copy a previous record taken in another district (which has its own record day and states the death day)... I was wondering, in that case, if I should give the death day as specified in the transcribed death record.

So for instance, my image set starts off with a record date of its own (3 January 1916), and then states (roughly translated and summarized) some other civil service representative found in a death register somewhere else this entry on page x in row x: (then copies the original death record entry which gives a death record date and death day of 3 November 1915.) there is no way i can use oggi or ieri for the death day so I just wrote in 3 Novembre 1915. Is there a better way to record such instances?

It would be beneficial to explain this in these help documents as I can't find anything to refer to regarding this situation.

Father's Surname

Question to WAP about father's surname is not in the body of document but he signed the registration record: Answer- As long as the signed surname is legible, key it. If it is not legible, do not key it.

Q: If there is only one name in the "father's name" section of the document, is this the surname or the given name of the father?

New Section Dispute

Q: I know that some keyers for this project place the records from both pages in one section, while others add a new section for the second page. Which method is correct in the case of this project? Thanks! --Bigbears6 00:38, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

A: In the absence of header data, sections really don't matter and will not affect the final result. Either way is acceptable. --Paulmd199 02:06, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
