The instructions state key company names in Given name column. For Booth, David & Co would I enter David Booth & Co in Given Name or Booth in Surname and David & Co in Given? Also do you want the & or prefer and?

A: edited - The company name, Booth, David & Co would be keyed as seen, except we replace the & for the word 'and'.. . It would be keyed as Booth, David and Co. in the given field. --Wiedwoman 06:43, 24 October 2014 (UTC)

My current image set includes several entries that appear to be just Post Offices (or maybe farms?): For example, "Hakiaha, Whakatane", "Kaukiutu, Kihikihi" and "Te Hau Paimarire, Moawhanga ". How should these be keyed?

A: Hakiaha, Kaukiutu and Te Hau Paimarire are the people's names. --Katerimmer 09:56, 27 September 2014 (UTC)

Do we key Maori names which have no clear deliniation of given names and family names all in the given name box too? One example I have is Hamuera Te Rakakuitea - and does the same apply to just one single name eg Heuanu.

A: My assumptions have been confirmed. Here are a few examples of how the names should be keyed.

Given name: Ihaia
Surname: te Ahu

Given name: Pineaha
Surname: te Mahauariki

Given name: Tamerana
Surname: [blank]

If you have other examples that don't fit these examples and you are unsure post them here. Annafechter 16:19, 29 September 2014 (UTC)

What do we do when there is more than one return county on the image?

A: Add a new section. --Wiedwoman 05:09, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
